Year 1986
The dream begins in a bank line. The founders Gilberto Borges and his wife Sandra Borges wanted to be entrepreneurs.
Year 1987
Hidrolight is founded in Garopaba, SC, in the back of the family home. Producing flip-flops, then frescobol rackets, body boards and E.V.A. products for swimming pools.
Year 2000
It was the beginning of production in Neoprene with Workout Gloves, which are still in Hidrolight’s mix today, and we began to enter the orthopedic world, which became Hidrolight’s main line due to its specialization in the market.
Year 2007
It was the beginning of Hidrolight’s great automation, where turnover began to double year on year.
Year 2010
Inauguration of the second building in the main office, with 55 employees.
Year 2020
In order to consolidate its national and international expansion, as well as its brand in the global market, the company changed its legal nature to a joint-stock company and was renamed Hidrolight do Brasil S.A. Its trademark is already registered in more than 28 European countries, 9 Latin American countries and the United States.
Year 2024
Hidrolight do Brasil S.A currently has more than 450 employees and more than 700 product variations (SKUs), with over 20 private labels of products launched nationally, including dozens of exclusive products with designs registered with the INPI. In addition to implementing a policy of periodically launching new, exclusive and innovative products. It has its own headquarters with three buildings and is already planning to build a fourth, apart from its own packaging factory. This shows that Hidrolight do Brasil continues to grow and to be part of the Movement and the Lives of Brazilians.
